Il ricercatore lavorerà nello sviluppo e applicazione di metodi statistici e di machine learning in un contesto di high dimensional data, con particolare attenzione all'epidemiologia nutrizionale.

Duties and Responsibilities

The research fellow will work on the development and application of statistical and machine learning methods for high dimensional data, with emphasis on nutritional epidemiology, within the “INDACO: Incorporating Nonadditivity and nonlinearity within the Dietary patterns And Cancer risk association: statistics and machine learning to create novel research Opportunities from dietary assessment to cancer prediction” project.

Methodological areas include machine learning algorithms, regression with high dimensional covariates, empirical Bayes methods, factor and cluster analysis, and nonparametric Bayesian methods. Scientific areas include epidemiology, especially nutritional epidemiology, and pharmacology.

Position Qualifications

A Master level degree in informatics, biostatistics, medical statistics, statistics, mathematics, data science, or epidemiology is mandatory. A Ph.D. in the same fields is appreciated. Additional qualifications are programming experience in R / Python / Matlab, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
