Statistical and Other Methodologic Lessons Gleaned from the Experience of a Nutritional Epidemiologist Over Three Decades
In this talk, Dr. H ́ebert will provide examples of work that he has conducted in the context of clinical trials and observational studies that have led to: the detection of response set biases; the use of “constructs” to validate dietary assessment methods; the development of the dietary inflammatory index (DII®) and its derivatives, most notably the energy-adjusted DII (E-DIITM); and major challenges to global public health that must be faced in the near future.
