Dear All,
as Chairman of the LOC and on behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, I am delighted to invite you at the “27th International Biometric Conference” in Florence, 6-11 July, 2014. The conference is dedicated to recent developments and application of Biometry and Statistics in many different fields of life and environmental sciences. The only IBC that took place in Italy was held in Bellagio on the Como Lake, 1953 Sept. 1-5, by Hotel Grande Bretagne. It was the third conference organized by IBS. One of the contributors was Sir R.A. Fisher with a talk on “The variability in the lenght of germ plasm still heterogeneous after a given amount of inbreeding”. Since then many successful meetings have been held and I am confident that also the 27th IBC in Florence will further contribute to the development of Biometry.
I am very much looking forward to seeing you in Florence.
Adriano Decarli
Chair of the LOC
